ALPINE SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING

Spend an adventure packed day exploring the vast and varied terrain on the largest ski area in North America, Vail Mountain. Vail boasts three distinct areas of the mountain, each with their own features and fortes, including four terrain parks, seven bowls and 5,289 acres of freeride terrain. At seven miles wide, finding fresh tracks is as easy as finding elbow room. In fact, on an average day, there are only two skiers per acre, and on a busy day, only four!

Beaver Creek is Colorado's "best kept secret". Every year, Beaver Creek Mountain hosts the world as athletes and spectators alike migrate for the Birds of Prey Men's World Cup. But that is only a slice of what Beaver Creek has to offer. From the gentle, manicured slopes of Bachelor Gulch, to the open intermediate trails of Larkspur and Rose Bowl, to the steep bumps of Grouse Mountain, skiers and riders of all abilities will feel at home on this mountain.

A-Basin, Keystone, and Breckenridge are all accessible within 90 minutes from the Vail Valley as well. Private and group ski or snowboard lessons are available for ages three and up. Keystone offers night skiing, most nights in the winter.

NORDIC SKIING

Take a day to explore the beautiful cross country skiing areas. There's something magical about being on the ground, yet breaking free from the grip of the earth. There's magic with whisking silently though the forest on a gentle downhill, little effort expended, very relaxing and exhilarating all at the same time. THURSDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Hosted weekly throughout the winter in Beaver Creek, Thursday Night Lights is a glow stick ski-down to music with a fireworks display afterwards. Guests who are level 5 skiers (intermediate) or above can participate, simply register at 5:30pm on Thursdays at the Beaver Creek Children's Ski School.

This annual free summer concert series is hosted at the Ford Amphitheater Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months. BEAVER CREEK HIKE-OLOGY

Beaver Creek's Hike-ology program is designed to introduce youngsters to the environment and flora and fauna that live in our mountain surroundings. The Hike-ology program consists of three designated trails:

• The Discovery Loop Trail showcases native Colorado wildlife, and the history of the area.
• The Spruce Saddle Loop allows hikers to match the indigenous plants and animals they come across with their names in a fun mix-n-match game in their brochure.
• The Five Senses Trail encourages exploration of the flora and fauna with one's hands, eyes, ears, and nose.

RED SKY

Red Sky is nestled near the legendary Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain Resorts and only 20 minutes from the Vail/Eagle County Airport. Eagle Ranch Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design set in the center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. While the views are spectacular, the golf is what will impress you more. THE BEAVER CREEK GOLF CLUB

The Beaver Creek Golf Club, nestled against the slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain, is one of the longest established golf courses in the Vail Valley.
